About Us
Who We Are
We’re Jacqui and David, united by a deep love for therapy and the profound journey of being human. To us, therapy isn’t just a job, it’s a way of being. Bearing witness to people’s inner worlds is an honour we never take for granted. We founded Being In It Together to offer a space where therapy is more than just a service, it’s a genuine, caring relationship with therapists who are deeply invested in their work and the people they help. We believe the courage it takes to seek therapy should be met with the highest quality of care

Our Mission
At Being In It Together, we believe therapy is more than diagnoses, structured programs, or passive listening—it’s a deep, engaged, and relational process. Real change happens in the space between people, which is why we step into the experience with you, investing in the therapeutic bond and seeing the world through your eyes. We don’t follow rigid models; we see you as more than a diagnosis. Committed to making therapy more accessible, we offer individual, couples, and group therapy—where connection and shared experience become powerful catalysts for growth.
Meet The Therapists
Jacqui

This isn’t about fixing you. It’s about finally meeting yourself.
Hi, I’m Jacqui. I’m not here to fix you, I’m here to help you show up more fully in your life and relationships.
Most people come to therapy because something isn’t working; they feel stuck, disconnected, or like they’re living on autopilot. I know that feeling. I’ve lived it too. I work with individuals and couples who are ready to face that honestly, and do something about it.
I won’t sit back and nod while you talk in circles. I’ll ask you to slow down, notice what’s happening right now, and get curious about it. The way you show up in therapy says a lot about how you show up in life and that’s where our work begins.
If you’re bringing relationship issues, we’ll work with the relationship. If you feel numb, we’ll explore the numbness. I’ll challenge you when you need it and support you as you begin to relate to yourself, and others, in a new way.
Therapy with me is active, alive, and honest. It’s not always comfortable, but it’s real and real is where change happens.
And when all’s said and done, when we look back at life, it won’t be the job titles, bank accounts or neat decisions that matter. It’ll be the relationships: the ones we nurtured, the ones we lost, the ones we were brave enough to fight for. Therapy, at its best, helps us get more out of our relationships.
If you’re tired of talking around things and ready to actually feel something shift, I’d love to hear from you.
David
Therapy matters to me. It’s a joy to offer the gift of therapy to my clients.
If you’re reading this, something probably hurts or feels missing. Maybe life itself feels flat, empty or void.
You’re also probably tired: of pretending it’s all fine, of endlessly recycling the same old thoughts that go nowhere, of shallow advice dressed as eternal wisdom on social media, wedged between ads for mushroom powder and “morning rituals that saved my life”.
Good. That means you’re ready for something real.
I’m not a therapist who leans back, nods thoughtfully, and murmurs vague affirmations. I won’t insult your intelligence with self-help slogans, ask you to chant mantras you don’t believe in, or hand you a form asking you to rate your despair on a cheerful scale of 1 to 10.
What I offer is something different, something more difficult and, in my view, more valuable: honesty, presence, and a relationship that actually means something.
I bring myself fully into the work. I’ll challenge you when it matters. I’ll offer new ways of seeing. And I’ll walk beside you through the dark without ever trying to light it up with false hope. We may not fix everything but we’ll face the truth, together, and that’s where change begins.
Because beyond the boredom and bullshit of everyday existence, life is still pumping through you, wild and strange and beautiful. There is meaning to be found, strength you haven’t met yet, joy that doesn’t come pre-packaged or performative. I believe in that. I believe in you, even if you don’t.
My approach is clear, but not cold or clinical. I care deeply about the people I work with. I laugh with my clients. I sit with them through silence, rage, despair, and breakthrough. All of it, because I believe in the power of connection not just as a technique, but as a way of being human together.
If you’re looking for soft edges and polished clichés, I’m not your man.
But if you’re hungry for depth, for challenge, for a place where something genuinely human can happen, then let’s talk. Get in touch with me and let’s get something started.

Our Approach
At Being In It Together, we don’t rely on labels, techniques, or charts. We believe that therapy is, first and foremost, a meeting between human beings. Healing happens not through rigid frameworks but through the strength of the therapeutic relationship, built on trust, openness, and a willingness to explore what it truly means to be alive. We meet you as you are, without assumptions, without a checklist, but with the full presence and care of another person committed to your journey.
As integrative counsellors, our approach is rooted in ideas from various therapeutic traditions, but we are not confined by any one model. We draw on these ideas (some are listed below) to support the work rather than dictate it. What matters most to us is the quality of connection, creating a space where you can be fully seen and heard, without pressure to be anything other than yourself. Therapy is not about applying a technique; it’s about making contact, finding meaning, and uncovering what has been lost or buried.
In longer-term work, this goes deeper. We don’t just address the immediate struggles on the surface; we walk with you as you rediscover who you are. We will be active participants in your process, not distant observers. Together, we will make sense of your experiences, explore the stories you tell yourself, and open the possibility of something new. At its core, therapy is about meeting, two or more people, in vulnerability, honesty, and courage. That’s where healing begins, and that’s what we strive to facilitate.
