Women’s Therapy Group

Do you feel as though you are carrying more than anyone really sees?
Have you become the capable one, the steady one, the one who keeps things going?
Do you sometimes sense that the life you are living no longer fits as well as it once did?

Many women live inside roles they did not consciously choose. The good one. The strong one. The accommodating one. The one who copes. These ways of being often make sense. They may once have been necessary. But over time, they can become a kind of quiet imprisonment.

You may still be functioning. You may still be doing what needs to be done. But something in you may know that functioning is not the same as living.

This group is for women who want space to stop skimming the surface and begin speaking more truthfully about what is happening in them.

This is not a course in confidence, a wellness circle, or a place to collect tips for coping better. It is a therapy group.

Together, we make room for the deeper questions. What are you carrying? What have you outgrown? What are you being loyal to? What in you has been postponed, silenced, or shaped too strongly by the needs of others?

The aim is not self-improvement in the shallow sense. It is not becoming more polished, more agreeable, or better at enduring what is not right for you. The aim is a more conscious, more truthful relationship with yourself and with other people.

What Previous Group Members Say

A few words from people who have attended previous groups with us.

I was a bit apprehensive starting group therapy not sure how it would work . But I found it really helpful, appreciating the build up of the relationships within the group.

I learned the importance of listening…to be listened to and to listen to each other. I found Jacqui and David to be very empathetic  and understanding…kind and gentle.

Jacqui and David have adapted to the challenge faced by me, encouraged me to look at myself, guided and challenged my thoughts and beliefs with a positive outcome.

At times I felt challenged, but safe, within the group. This was because of the careful guidance and support I experienced by the therapists.

therapy that works – together

Why this group can help

Group therapy can be especially powerful for difficulties like people-pleasing, weak boundaries, and conflict avoidance, because these patterns happen in relationship. In a group, they can be noticed, understood, and worked with in real time.

Feel Less Alone

Many women carry far more than they show. Simply being in a room with others who are also trying to speak honestly can be relieving, grounding, and deeply human. Group therapy can soften the feeling that everything has to be faced on your own.

Speak More Freely

There is often something powerful about saying things out loud in the presence of others and being met properly. The group offers space to find words for what is hard to say and to become more real, more present, and more connected.

Understand Yourself In Relationship

Lasting change often happens in relationship, not just in private thought. Group therapy gives you the chance to notice what happens between you and others, how you hold yourself, what you expect, what you hide, and what may be ready to shift.
