We collect information directly from you when you contact us via our website, email, phone, or directories such as Counselling Directory, BACP, NCPS, or Psychology Today.

This may include sensitive information relating to your health or mental health, which we process only where necessary to understand your needs and assess suitability.

Session notes are anonymised wherever possible and only necessary data is collected.

5. Shared email access and internal discussion

Both therapists (David and Jacqui) have access to the shared business email account. Communications may be read or responded to by either.

We may also discuss client work internally as part of professional reflection and peer support. All discussions are confidential and treated with the same seriousness as supervision.

6. Confidentiality and sharing

We treat your information as confidential but may share limited information in the following situations:

Work is discussed with qualified supervisors under confidentiality.

Professional services

  • Microsoft (email and storage)
  • FreeAgent (accounting)
  • Hostinger and WordPress (website)
  • Google Analytics (usage data)

Legal and safeguarding

  • Risk of serious harm
  • Legal obligation or court order
  • Safeguarding concerns
  • Prevention of serious crime

7. How we store your information

We use secure systems, password protection, and restricted access. Notes are stored securely in OneDrive. Financial records are stored in FreeAgent.

8. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are used.

9. Retention

We retain records for 7 years after your final session, after which they are securely deleted.
